They promise that they will always challenge you, motivate your health and fitness, and offer the best-organized events for their athletes. They have 4 ultra-marathons and one shorter mountain running race.1) Sinister 7 Ultra is held in Crowsnest Pass, AB. It's a race that may be the greatest challenge of your life. The 100-mile (161km) course with 6,400m of elevation gain across the course, will punish those who are not prepared. It can be run as a soloist or on a team of two to seven. Sinister 7 also has a 50-mile (80km), a 50-km race, and a Kids' Race. 2) The Canadian Death Race is held in Grande Cache, AB. The 118km course begins and ends on a 4200-foot plateau, passes over three mountain summits, and not only includes over 4500m of elevation change but a major river crossing at the spectacular Hell's Gate canyon at the confluence of the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers. The 118 km can be run as a soloist or team of two to five. CDR also has a 42km Near Death Marathon and Kids' Death Race.3) Black Spur Ultra is held in Kimberley, BC. BSU has 54km & 108 km distances which can be run by soloists or on a team. BSU is the final event in the Sinister Triple Series. 4) The Divide 200 is Alberta's 1st and Canada's only 200-mile race. The route includes the Castle/Crowsnest Pass/Flathead regions of the southern Rockies. The race celebrates our Rocky Mountain heritage and highlights portions of the stunning Great Divide Trail. The race is only open to 100 soloists annually. The start and finish are at Castle Mountain Resort.5) Castle Alpine Trail Race is hosted at Castle Mountain Resort. This race is short and steep! At 28km and 2250m of vert, athletes are sure to put their strength to the test as soloists or teams of two to three. The course combines wide open vistas, rugged single track, and so much delicious climbing. This is a classic trail run covering two mountain summits and one of the most serene alpine valleys in the region.
