Experience the feeling of being surrounded by nature and truly separated from the hustle of city life. And yet, you’ll be just a few minutes from every amenity you could possibly need.

Whether you’re chasing fresh tracks in mid-winter, or enjoying the sunshine of a spring ski, Crowsnest offers some of the world’s best cross-country skiing.

The Allison-Chinook cross-country ski club boasts nearly 40 kilometers of uninterrupted skiing terrain, catering to all expertise levels and providing access to the surrounding backcountry. You don’t have to take our word for it, either. National Geographic lists the Allison Creek Nordic Ski Trails as part of their Crown of the Continent travel guide.

Start planning your trip by visiting the Crowsnest Nordic Ski Club. You can check out maps of the area, get the latest trail reports, and you can even volunteer to help groom and maintain the trails! Don’t forget to check their calendar and join the group on their Moonlight Ski trips, which happen regularly throughout the season.

Not a regular? No worries. Ski rentals are available from Alpenland, a mountain sports company that was founded in the Pass over 40 years ago. They do more than equipment rentals too. You can join their cycling club, Headwinds, and follow your passion with likeminded outdoors-people.
