Spring Culture Picks

July 10, 2018

With warmer weather finally coming to Crowsnest and helping to invigorate the minds and bodies of residents and visitors alike, it’s also a great time to flex your creative muscles. Here are the top culture picks in Crowsnest to check out at any time of the year.

Looking to get lost in the past? The Crowsnest Museum and Archives allows visitors to experience life on the prairie frontier through permanent and temporary exhibits and programming. In addition to conventional museum exhibits and pieces, Crowsnest Museum and Archives also hosts events and workshops throughout the year.

If you’re building your summer reading list, head to the Crowsnest Community Library to explore their extensive collection of print, eBooks, DVDs, music, and more. This library is so much more than a spot to read – check out their events page to see what’s coming up. The Library hosts a range of recurring activities, like the BRAT Pack, and one-off specials like a Vertical Gardening How-to Videoconference.

Once you’ve spent time pondering Crowsnest’s past and chatting with locals at the library, head down to the Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery for some quiet refection and art appreciation.

The gallery features a number of permanent pieces, as well as providing a venue for traveling exhibits from across Alberta. As a special summer feature, the gallery also provides classes and activities for kids to play, learn and create.
