Uncrowded, Unspoiled and Amazing

July 3, 2018

For those who want to ski the Rockies, avoid overcrowded hills, and spend more time skiing and snowboarding (and less time waiting), Pass Powderkeg is the place to be – day or night.

Whether the focus is on hitting the slopes for fun, mastering the black diamond runs, or cozying up in the lodge with a hot chocolate, Pass Powderkeg aims to please.

Pass Powderkeg features 980 ft of vertical with family-friendly, yet challenging (black diamond) terrain. Other features include snow-making, ski school for adults and kids, ski patrol, rental shop, night skiing, discount group packages, lodge rentals, and a cafeteria and lounge.

The Terrain Park is the best in Southern Alberta, and features a park and rail garden designed for the progression of riders and skiers. There are an assortment of table tops, step up jumps and spines, minis, flats, rainbows, kinks, wide rails, and boxes for skiers and snowboarders to ride.

Located in Blairmore, Pass Powderkeg is in the heart of Crowsnest Pass and offers one of the most affordable all-day ski and snowboard experiences.

Famous for quality outdoor ski experiences without the fancy price tag of nearby mountain destinations, Pass Powderkeg offers skiers an alternative to more commercialized areas. A full-day pass for a family, (two adults and up to three children under the age of 18) will cost less than a solo lift ticket at nearby Fernie.

Pass Powderkeg is also within a short (two hours or less) drive from a number of other major Alberta ski and snowboard centres. Check out the Pass Powderkeg website for updates on rates, events and lessons.
